Is there any way of 'fixing' the exact position of expressions that are attached to notes, i.e., dynamic markings etc? I currently find that every expression is positioned slightly differently from where I actually click with the mouse, and so I either have to go back and move it manually, or else type in the desired distance (horizontal and/or vertical) from the insertion point. I've tried looking in document options, but cannot see anything there pertaining to position fixing. Surely it must be possible to centre expressions in a way similar to that of articulations.

You can get to the Expression Designer from the Expression Selection:
Select an expression, and click the button "Edit...".

In the Expression Designer there is a chiclet for "Note Positioning".
Click this chiclet, and you can customize how the expression is positioned when it's used as a Note Expression.

There is also a chiclet for "Measure Positioning".
Click this chiclet, and you can customize how the expression is positioned when it's used as a Measure Expression.
