speedy entry w/o keyboard

I am doing some work away from my midi keyboard, and I am using speedy entry. The problem I am having is that, I am unable to notate a stacked chord. for example, if I wanted to notate middle 'c' and the 'e' above that on beat one of the same measure, finale is forcing me to record the 'e' on a second layer, and then i have extra stems to deal with. someone please help!

Try this:

Position the crosshair on the 'e' position on beat one of the same measure, and hit the Enter key.
