Get lettering instead of notes in the score - how to avoid?

Hello to all
I hope this is a simple problem to fix. When I create scores in Print Music, I get a series of Æ letters in the scores instead of notes, and empty bars contain Summation symbols. I looked in the archives for a fix but to no avail. How do I get the notes back?

Re-install the music fonts (Maestro, Jazz &c.), and the problem should be fixed.

A re-start may be necessary after you have re-installed the font.
