Working on a little project in A flat major. Finale keeps popping in flats, forcing me to start adding accidentals/flats where I thought none were needed to begin with. It's a mess. With key signature, aren't flats included automatically? Thanks for any help

You need to be more specific about what you're doing and where it's going afoul. What do you mean "popping in flats"? What is your picture showing? The G-flats and F-flats (!) in your picture are not in the key signature, so do indeed need to be added manually.

Well, that's just it. I don't want them there, I didn't add them there and they should not be there, since I've got a key signature of AFlat with four flats B E A D.
You're right, if I DID want them there in this key sig, I would have to add them manually. Which I did not do myself, and don't wish to. Like I said, Finale is popping them in for no reason I can see.

I downloaded your file and tried adding some notes with the mouse and couldn't replicate your problem (I have Finale 2011 but not PrintMusic). Is there any chance that the flat was selected on the Simple Entry palette? (You don't need that to enter a flat that's in the key signature.)
