Message:Well, I've discovered the problem. It's an extension conflict. Still not sure which one, but when I turn off all but the basic extensions, I don't have this problem. Interestingly enough, with only basic extensions on, Finale eps extractions are fine and print from Quark, even when, later, I reload all the extensions (including the culprit). When I extract Finale eps files with all extensions on (including the culprit), these Finale eps files are "corrupted" and cause a PostScript error when printed from Quark. Has no one else ever experienced this problem? Anyway, when I find the "culprit" extension, I will post it.
