Message:The competition between music software is unbelievable. If you know how to use them, they can all produce the same output (more or less). Incidentally, Finale is my bread and butter and I love it.If all of these companies want to survive, they need to do what a lot of wordprocessing and graphics programs have done in the past. FILE COMPATABILITY. Take wordprocessing for example. You can the same output on Word or Wordperfect, but the great thing is...you can open up documents created in one into the other. This makes them very flexible. I think that Finale took the first step with Encore imports, but why not take it further. If Finale could import files from makers like Score and Sibelius, think of how attractive the program would be.
