Hello,
I'm trying to play a piece I've written. When opening the playing window, no matter which speed I choose, the piece is played at a very high speed. I've tried to alter all the settings, nothing change. I cannot hear anything because of the very high playing speed. What am I doing wrong ?
Problem with the playing window

First, try selecting the entire piece, and Clear Selected Items > MIDI Data.
Next, try exporting as XML, and importing back into Finale.
Finally, you could try recreating the Preferences.

Thanks for your help.
I managed to handle it by copying a few parts of the score in another file to discover which part of it was causing trouble. Fortunately it was the first line. I removed it, added it again note by note and it works.

I don't know what you mean by an "expression". It was only a white note played twice in a 4 by 4 measure... I don't see anything in that which could prevent the playing tempo to be changed.
I'm glad I'm able to make the piece played slowly by the software, there was a lot of mistakes. It's so easy to forget a flat or a natural.
